Don't Forget To Stretch Daily!

Published over 1 year ago • 1 min read

Hi Reader,

Happy Monday and Indigenous Peoples' Day!

Hope you are having a great productive weekend!

What's the first thing your body naturally does in the morning when you first wake up?

STRETCH!!!

We all know that it's important to stretch before, during and after a workout. But did you know that it's also important to incorporate stretching into your daily life?

Stretching is a critical component of fitness and our overall health. As we grow older, our bodies naturally lose flexibility. It's part of the aging process; however, there are things we can do to slow down (or even reverse) this loss of flexibility. Daily stretching is one of them.

For women over 40, it is imperative that we prioritize stretching as part of our daily wellness regimen. The older we get, the more our muscles start to deteriorate. This is because our bodies produce less and less of the protein required for muscle growth and repair. It’s not just our muscles that suffer this decline, our bone health suffers as well.

As we age, we lose bone mass and become more prone to osteoporosis, a condition where bones become brittle and fracture easily. This is why it is imperative that we prioritize stretching to keep our muscles limber and strong.

Stretching Benefits Are Endless, so why would you NOT make stretching a priority as part of your wellness practice?

Think about it...If you don't take care of yourself now, you'll pay the price later on down the road when your physical activity becomes harder and harder to do.

In fact, stretching is one of the best things you can do for your overall health and wellness. Not only does it have a major impact on your physical health (increased flexibility, improved circulation, and reduced pain), but it also affects your mental health, energy levels, performance, and sleep quality.

Other Personal Wellness and Well-Being benefits include:

  • Clarity
  • Inner Peace and Calm
  • Relaxation
  • Reduced Stress and Anxiety

Stretching is all about taking care of yourself - so make sure that you stretch at least 10-20 minutes daily. It doesn't take much time out of your day - and again the benefits are endless!

SAVE the DATE - If you are a Mompreneur in the DMV area, come join us for a FREE in-person Morning Mindfulness "Love Your Body Stretch" on Saturday, November 5th from 8-9am at the Dancing for His Glory Dance Studio and Company.

Registration will open soon!

Be Blessed and Don't Forget to Stretch Daily!
